Folding@Home Idle Policy

Hello all,
I've recently installed F@H on and after trying the default "light" policy for a few days, I read some more and decided "idle" is better for me.
However, while everything is paused as needed while I'm doing stuff, nothings kicks in once the computer is idle (for example, over night) and just stays stuck at "paused: waiting for idle".

At first I tried using Gnome's (3.10) built-in screen blanking, but it didn't work.
I then tried xscreensaver's screen saver (per a suggestion in F@H forum - https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=25140), but that didn't help either.

Has any one successfully managed to get idle detection working?

Second attempt, everything still pretty much the same in regards to idle.
Not sure if connected, but battery detection isn't working as well, folding continue as usual when switching to battery.

I made a service script that works on GNOME. It only tells the FAH client to resume folding when the screen is locked.
