Hey everybody,
Since switching to mplayer-vaapi to get rid of the tearing, I have strange behaviour:
When I play a video on my HDMI big screen in fullscreen, it flickers so much, that it's unwatchable. This is no tearing. It lookes like images are mixed in the buffer, so I end up with stuttering video, images overlapping and jumping fractales of the frames.
This only happens, when I switch to HDMI the first time and start the video. On my laptop and also when I switch to HDMI, back to laptop and again to HDMI, the problem isn't present/is gone.
Also it only occurs when compositing features are enabled. Only compositor enabled though is xfwm4's build in one.
Audio works fine. No stuttering or anything.
mplayer doesn't show any errors and the output is the same when it works and when it doesn't. vlc plays fine btw.
vsync in amdcccle is on and mplayer is run with -vo vaapi:gl.
