after typing:
pacman -S mplayer
everything went fine, but I can't get mplayer to open... for example- 'exec mplayer' simply closes the terminal window
is there something else i need to install to get it working?
thanks-o!

mplayer is a commandline program.
if you want a gui to come up, run gmplayer.
Offline
gmplayer & exit will close the window down once gmplayer is brought up..
