Trying to set up a working environment with awesome wm within gnome ecosystem.
awesome-gnome session is mostly working quite properly with gnome 3.10 and awesome 3.5
However, what does not work, is gnome-session-quit. It just does nothing at the first time, and just displays an error on a next attempts: "Logout interface is only available during the Running phase "
Obviously just quitting WM does no good.
Behavior is tested on other WM's with gnome-session - same problem. This command as of now just seems to work only withing the gnome-shell.
Is there any workaround?

I can't provide a solution to your problem, but if you could help me out with this?
I've tried awesome-gnome on gnome 3.10 and awesome 3.5, and it isn't working. Can you give me some pointers on any changes you had to make?

There is no workaround yet, the required logout dialog was removed from gnome-session 3.10:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-sess … 8a5057f73e
So you either have to downgrade to gnome-session 3.8, or create a new project which provides the EndSessionDialog D-Bus interface. Most of the work done in this commit, just needs to be reorganized into an independent project:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-sess … e3732fa133
Alternatively, you can use cinnamon-session, which still have this logout dialog.
