[SOLVED] Firefox 25.0-1 issue - `NSS_3.15' not found

hi everyone!

after an update this morning, ff seems to be having some problems. i get the error

XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/lib/firefox/libxul.so:
/usr/lib/firefox/libssl3.so: version `NSS_3.15' not found (required by /usr/lib/firefox/libxul.so)
Couldn't load XPCOM.

ive reinstalled ff and nss but still no dice...

this thread seemed to be describing a similar issue, but it was closed because the op was doing partial updates (im not)

can anyone point me in the right direction please?

edit:
renamed libssl3.so, libnssutil3.so and libnss3.so in /usr/lib/firefox (appended .bak) and now it works .
