Flash repeatedly crashes

Recently (I think it started yesterday) my flashplugin has been crashing very frequently. Almost every time I try to watch a Youtube video, use the Spotify webapp, etc. I'm using Chromium, but I tried installing Firefox to see if that helped and it did not appear to. I just did a pacman -Syu and there seems to have been no change. Anyone else notice a similar issue, or have ideas how to fix?

FWIW I'm on Chromium 28.0.1500.71 and flashplugin 11.2.202.291-1

Re: Flash repeatedly crashes

If you're using chromium, might as well grab pepper flash from the AUR

Re: Flash repeatedly crashes

I was using flashplugin instead of pepper flash because pepper didn't work with Amazon prime instant video. However now neither of them appear to work with it, so it looks like I'll stick with pepper for now. Pepper does seem to solve the crashing problem, but it would be nice not to have to reboot over to Mint in order to watch amazon videos which is why I'm trying to find out why regular flashplugin is crashing.

Yeah, thats true. I open up firefox with flash 11.2 for amazon prime.

Do you have nvidia? There are those threads on flash crashing with vdpau

Re: Flash repeatedly crashes

Nay, my laptop's got an ATI chip. Maybe I'll give firefox another go for amazon video. What's actually started happening with that is, it looks like it's going to work, gets past the loading and connecting parts, and then the video just goes black, no audo, progress bar thing not advancing. I can't think of why this would start happening yesterday but I'll keep at it.
