[Solved] ARM vs x86 GPUs

An interesting question I've been pondering that I can not find the answer to is the difference between the Radeon AMD APUs vs Adreno Snapdragon GPUs?

I've been searching around and I know its comparing apples to oranges (x86 to ARM) but it seems that they are both on the same chip using the same RAM as the CPUs.  Just wondering if a Snapdragon could really be considered an APU?

I think Snapdragon is more than "just" CPU+GPU, it's called system on chip for a reason:

Since Snapdragon S4, the majority of S4 SoCs also features on-die Wi-Fi, GPS/GLONASS and Bluetooth basebands.

AMD APU is just a CPU + Basic GPU, not much else. Snapdragon contains much more, as karol outlined. See this for an outline of what Snapdragons come with. Just google for photos of smartphone motherboards, you'd be suprised how little stuff is on them.

Ya I've never underestimated ARM processors like some people with my past history of smart phones of the HTC mogul, HTC touch pro, HTC touch pro 2 and HTC evo 3d.  I have to admit i forgot snapdragons contained connectivity and ect. on die.  I think I forgot because like on my evo 3d, wimax had to use a different chip.  Thx for the response.
