Luakit, youtube, and USB headsets

So I have been using Luakit for a while now and really like it. I also have a USB headset that have just recently started using again. Typically, I'll just uncomment the following likes in my .asoundrc file to get it working:

    pcm.!default {
          type hw
          card 1
          device 0
     }

For all other applications I tried, sound and everything worked fine. For some reason when youtube videos do not load in luakit with the headset plugged in. Firefox and chrome work just fine though. That being said, it seems that the youtube video also skips between a few different qualities (from 144p to 720p) before displaying the typical fuzzy error message.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?
