Hi,
I can not use yaourt recently with this error:
curl: (35) Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to aur.archlinux.org:443
Apparently curl has a problem with https websites. I tested Ubuntu on my system and it is working there. Is there any way to use wget as a XferCommand in yaourt?

I'm not familiar with yaourt, but where are you setting the XferCommand in yaourtrc? I know you can do it in pacman.conf - wget works fine.

I have already tried that by puting
XferCommand = /usr/bin/wget --passive-ftp -c -O %o %u
in /etc/yaourtrc, but I got this error
/etc/yaourtrc: line 57: XferCommand: command not found

That's why I'm asking: are you sure you can use XferCommand in yaourtrc?
What were you trying to install with yaourt when you got this error?

I am not sure. That's what I am asking for .

Anything. In fact, even
curl -O https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/pa/p … ery.tar.gz
gives the same error. Although I am able to download with wget and use makepkg directly, but I really miss search AUR with yaourt.

i have to ask this:
do you by any chance connecting from iran?
cause i am and the f..ing goverment messes with tls (they have started doing this recently)
you can test this with these:
connect with a proxy or vpn and then test the curl in command line.
or use the "-1" or "-3" option with curl command and see if this fixes it.
if the result of my suggestion fixes your problem then its net problem so, go ahead and curse the f..ing mullahs for ruining your life.:)
and use a proxy for aur connections.
if not then i cant help you more.
