I was looking for information on using the Chipkit through Arch Linux. On the Chipkit page here, a link to the AUR page for rxtx points to the AUR page rather than the rxtx page. After looking for rxtx, I was given an error saying that rxtx no longer exists in the AUR. There is a java-rxtx package, but there is no indication if this replaces the original rxtx.
Can someone update the Archwiki page to reflect this and include whether or not java-rxtx is in fact a replacement to rxtx, or if the Chipkit can no longer be used as all support is dropped and implementation is now impossible forever? Thank you in advance.

When I search for rxtx in AUR, I get the arduino package: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/arduino/

The wiki is a community project, you can create an account in the wiki (it's separate from the forum) and perform any necessary edits yourself.
Try using java-rxtx packages from the repos and see if they do what you want.

That's because the default search searches both package name and description and arduino's description mentions librxtx.
The wiki articles says
ChipKit is a Microprocessor platform produced by Digilent Inc. which provides an Arduino like environment and a physically compatible board, but runs the much quicker and more powerful PIC32 series of Processors.
so they're related but may be not exactly the same.
