Hello.
I rarely using to play minecraft. Today i started it for the first time in about 6 month and was surprised having no sound.
Ok, i tried to launch the older version of minecraft which worked in the past and got no sound too.
However, in kmix i can see the stream from minecraft, can move it between sound cards, but there is no sound.
Then i compiled the some of the openal lessons on the web to check if the problem rely on lwjgl or java. And again,
there was no sound to hear, but the steams in kmix appeared again.
All other applications have no issues with sound.
I'm using the last x86_64 kernel and update system.
Can someone help me to figure out my problem?

Seems to be an app config. I don't play this game but is there any place to change the audio output into game?

There is no way to change sound settings in minecraft.

Have you tried forcing OpenAL output as described here? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PulseAudio#OpenAL
FWIW OpenAL works fine here, without ever having done this manual configuration I use it regularly with Dolphin's OpenAL plugin.
