Since the transition to bluez version 5, I have two machines that are seemingly unable to switch to hci mode although bluez-hid2hci is installed. One of them ist the bluetooth connector shipped with the Logitech diNovo Edge Keyboard. It shows up as

I also have a Dell Latitude E6500 with an internal Broadcom bluetooth module. Here, there is no possibility to unplug and replug for testing. However, it has a hardware killswitch. The situation is the same as with the usb adapter aforementioned. The adapter shows up as hub with keyboard and mouse instead of a bluetooth device. bluez-hid2hci is installed and it worked fine with bluez4. What has to be done to make it work?
