I am sure others have noticed and are working to fix it, but I do want to document it here if not: several of the archlinux.org websites have been up and down for me for the past hour or so including:
www.archlinux.org/packages
bbs.archlinux.org
aur.archlinux.org
wiki.archlinux.org

I used only the forum, so I can't say about the wiki etc. being unreachable.

I saw your post after posting this and requested that a Mod merge mine into yours a few min ago

I updated the webserver; so there was like a 5 minute downtime.

For me, it has been more than 5 min... probably spanned 30 or so.

My thread is about the ongoing forum issues: I can't open a link, post or refresh a forum page for a minute or so, but wiki, AUR and the rest work fine.

OK, just checked; it was within a 7 minute timeframe.

I am experiencing slow transactions right now for the AUR and the bbs. For example, posting a comment in the AUR is taking 20 sec or so.
I just edited this thread and that took over 30 sec from hitting the button until I was presented with the edit dialog. Loading new threads is equally slow.

Can you check if this is network related? Because some connections to the data center seem to suffer from ddos attacks. So we don't mix different issues here.
Offline
Not network related for me... External urls are very snappy to load.

What do you mean by external? Of course other URLs than bbs.archlinux.org, wiki.archlinux.org and aur.archlinux.org may load fine.
E.g. try mtr bbs.archlinux.org

External = non-arch URLs... in answer to your question about my general network connectivity.

The problem is not on your side, but our ISP. See https://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail … 25642.html

Sorry, I'm not going to merge the threads because they'll interleave. It'll be hard to follow the discussion and know what replies to what. I'm going to close karol's thread and direct everyone here. This thread has more activity and the answers.

Cool, thank you. I just wanted to be sure the people who matter knew about it (and they did)... perhaps this thread has served its purpose and should be closed?

I've been experiencing it again in the last 15 minutes.
It's an intermittent issue: at one time refreshing the page or loading a thread or a wiki page takes 20 seconds, but a few minutes later it's ten times faster.

It does feel a little sluggish this evening...
