Linux don't recognize usb conection with an Android phone

I'm trying to connect my phone to computer via USB. Phone says it is connected in SD mode, however the Arch doesn't recognize it. I tried to install some extra KDE utilities while searching google without solutions.

lsblk doesn't give any input except the usual partitions and rom. I do not have the apparatus to use card reader of the laptop.

Where can I start?

Are you trying to transfer files between the phone and computer?  If so, check https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MTP for more information.

MTP seems to work, though ti can be buggy and slow.  I have found that it is far easier to simply set up samba on your computer and then use a smb/samba android client to connect to it.  There are even quite a few file managers that have samba support built in.

As an unrelated problem I came across, my locale seems to be listed as "C". I tried commenting additional languages and regenerated locale but problem still persists.

Edit: I will look for samba too, I already am using Thunar.
