Music composition

I am looking for something for easily creating music on linux. Something along the lines of heavy techno for working out. Any good programs that are easy to use? I looked into the beast and rosegarden, how do they rate?

Edit: something that would let me take instruments, and change the note they play in, etc... and has some instrument lib's would be good.

Re: Music composition

Well I'm keen to make a PKGBUILD for http://bloodshed.net/wired/ once they release a stable version. Won't be any time soon though me thinks.

Re: Music composition

There's a LMMS package in the AUR, which is a rather new fruityloops type program.
