[Solved] Preventing pacman from package upgrade.

Hi there,
is there any solution to manage packages in arch without pacman?
I mean if I manage grub package myself, is there any option in pacman.conf to prevent pacman from upgrading this package if there's a new version found in current?

Having a package manager and not using it is generally a very bad idea.

If you package grub yourself, then create your own package (perhaps called grub-local) which conflicts and provides grub. see man makepkg, /var/abs/base/grub/* and /var/abs/PKGBUILD.proto

You couldn't be more wrong. Read man pacman before you post.
