[SOLVED] Wifi mishap

First off I'd like to say Hello! It took me three days to install arch -- didn't realize I was using UEFI. I'm not entirely new, I've used Chakra, but plasma crashed on me and I couldn't get help there. Then I used linux mint, I was living the good life. But I wanted arch because of the space and speed. So, my first freebe problem I'd like help with is with my wifi. It breaks randomly.

I've been using wlp2s0 and the terminal to use it regularly in XFCE, but when I installed wicd, it wouldn't connect, declaring a bad key, but the key is right, so what'll you do?
I unistalled wicd and the dependancies, and reinstalled the ones that arch came with. So, now I still have have the connection error, but I stay connected longer.

So, here's the real twist comes in: when I boot into cinnamon it works a LOT better. So maybe it's native to XFCE? Or the config files are only ruined in there? Cinnamon tried to kick me out too, but I was able to reconnect.

using systemctl I get this error on netctl

netctl@wlps20\x2dbrcak1.service                                loaded failed failed    Networking for netctl profile wlps20-brcak1

and journalctl -xn doesn't offer anything while in cinnamon.

Is there a way to fix xfce? Or should I just use cinnamon?

Thanks in advance!

What is your network card?  You could've gotten wicd to use WEP instead of WPA and then it wouldn't work.  But if you have an interface up before starting netctl profile on it, it will fail.

I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...

So then to get everything to work properly, I'd need to systemctl disable netctl, then set up wicd? Would there be any other daemons I'd need to disable that deal with the network?
