I've had issues with my graphics card running hot since installing 3.12 kernel. Whenever I play a movie in mpv or mplayer, my fan spins up, the GPU heats up and powertop shows GPU running at 100% without going into RC6 at all. Running VLC on 3.12 or mplayer on 3.11 has the GPU running at around 50% with the rest in RC6.
How do I go about getting more info and/or reporting this?
