Greetings,
I'm attempting to install plex home theater from the AUR (plex-home-theater) and am running into an issue with XBMC. Specifically, this is the error:
ERROR: Unable to find path to XBMC data files!
I found a solution that seemed to work for most and it consisted of exporting the XBMC_HOME variable to the /usr/share/xbmc directory, but that directory does not exist on my system. As far as I can tell it was supposed to be created by the application, but I have no idea why it's not there. I already tried removing and reinstalling it to no effect. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

You need to start it with plexhometheater.sh, not plexhometheater binary.
The script does:
export XBMC_HOME=/usr/share/plexhometheater
exec plexhometheater
