Cant Establish an Avatar - Help
Before anyone says it, yes, I did do a search on this question, and found that LOTS of folks were having the same problem. According to the forum posts I found, it is supposed to be fixed, but it isn't working (again). From the posts, it looks like it has alternately worked and then not worked.
I have tried providing a URL, recognizing that the file upload mechanism doesn't work (this isn't the only board that this is the case for). However, I get an error that says "Can't write file to local storage - please contact the administrator with error....".
The URL I have provided is:

Is there anything wrong with this format? Perhaps gif is not acceptable? Any and all help much appreciated.

contact dibblethewrecker about it. I don't think he can actually fix it but he can at least pass it on to someone who can.

It's a permissions issue on the server. It seems the permissions keep getting reset. Judd is fully aware of the problem and I must assume it is not a high priority for him, else he would have permenantly fixed it 
I guess I can PM him again...

Thanks guys. I will hope that it can be fixed. I have a shiny new avatar that I built using GIMP that I would love to press into service!

also be sure that, when its fixed, your under the 80x80 pix and 6k limit.
its strict iirc, but i concur with dibble.
not that im a doubting thomas, but, i just deleted mine to swap, and no way will anything load, altho from a pc upload it doesn't report a fault, direct from a web link, it does.

Yep, I also sent Judd a PM this past weekend asking if there's someone else that could fix the avatars (understanding that he's probably quite busy) but he never responded, and apparently the avatars still aren't fixed.
That's really a cool avatar that you have there, Moo... 8)
