Hello,
Kwrite doesn't render accented fonts properly. I wonder what could be the reason. The same document renders ok in gnome and enlightenment, only kwrite has problem with them.
Here is a sample what I mean.
"A padlizsánt átsütjük a maradék olajon (kb. 2-2 perc kell mindkét oldalon).
A krumplit meghámozzuk, vékony karikákra vágjuk és egy közepes, kiolajozott tepsi alját kirakjuk vele. Sózzuk és rászórjuk a rozmaring felét. Ezután közepes lángon 15 percig sütjük elÅmelegÃtett sütÅben. Kivesszük, ráöntjük a húst és a tetejét váltakozva kirakjuk padlizsán és paradicsomszeletekkel.
Ãjabb 15 percig sütjük. Közben a tojásokat simára keverjük a tejjel. A muszakát megszórjuk sóval, Årölt borssal, a maradék rozmaringgal rozmaringgal és ráöntjük a tojásos tejet.. (Akkor a legfinomabb, ha az öntet teljesen ellepi) Még 20 percig sütjük."
Any idea?

Character encoding?

Character encoding?
Thanks the tip. When I check UTF-8 in Tools>encoding in Kwrite everything is fine, but when I close the app and reopen the UTF-8 gets unchecked again and the ISO-10646-ucs-2 gets checked by default. How can I make UTF-8 default?

I think it's a matter of Kwrite setting your system locale char encoding as default. You should be able to find the option to set default encoding somewhere in Kwrite's settings...I tried, and I may be blind, but seems I can't find it.
If there really isn't such option, I can only recommend using Kate instead, it's a far better text editor in any case(IMO ofcourse).
Edit: Yeah, I'm blind: Settings -> Configure editor -> Open/Save -> tab General -> File Format section

Thaaaaanks Xabre! That was it. I love kde, but I wish they would simplify the system because the settings are so much scattered all over the places that even fixing simple things like this you need to ask somebody's help.
