gnome strange behavior

I just install Arch, and  I install gnome on it
I've got a weird behavior with gnome
when I open an application or nautilus and I minimize the window
I've got nothing on the taskbar (dissapeared on the taskbar...)
and I have to re-open the application
also the workspace switcher is set to 4 workspaces and I can see only one on the taskbar
should I re-install gnome?

try removing the .gconf .gconfd this should reset your config for gnome.
if this fails try giving us a more detailed error view/log

ok I fix it
I had to go in the window list preferences and ajust the window list size set to 0 pixel by default ??
same thing for the workspace switcher preferences set to show only the current workspace by default
allright we're in business now
