Ndiswrapper freezes whole system since Kernel 3.1.6-1-ARCH

Since I upgraded my kernel to 3.1.6-1-ARCH, now I'm using 3.2.4-1-ARCH, ndiswrapper has been freezing my system when modprobe tries to load it. Error message what I get is following:

BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 22s! [kworker/u:3:141]

Any suggestions to solve this?

I'm using ndiswrapper because I haven't found native linux driver for Sis163u chipset.

I had the same problem with same card on Arch. The card was working well on my ubuntu installation with ndiswrapper so I just copied over the ndiswrapper.conf file from that one, and it WORKED.  So your /etc/modprobe.d/ndiswrapper.conf file should look like this:

Likely for this card only the "alias usb:v0BF8p100Fd*dc*dsc*dp*ic*isc*ip* ndiswrapper" line is important, but maybe the other lines help others with different cards too. Hope it helps.
