ibus not showing input method

Hi all,

I recently switched to ibus, and found it impossible to add input methods. I installed ibus-rime and ibus-libpinyin, but when I opened preferences - Input Method - select an input method, every item is grey.

I've searched this issue on google, and the only fix I found was to install ibus-m17n, which didn't work. Now what should I do ?

Thanks in advance.

edit : My locale is set to en_US, but I hope not to change it.

Thanks.
I can't find "input language" in "IBus Preferences" Dialog. Can you figure out where it is ?

(If you mean locale it's set to en_US.UTF-8, but I hope not to change it.. )

Re: ibus not showing input method

@meta_inf i dont use ibus but i try to install it today, when i run it i got something like this

% ibus-setup
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/ibus/setup/main.py", line 28, in <module>
    from gi.repository import Gio
ImportError: No module named gi.repository

so it might be some problem with python?

I guess not. It's just the dependency "python-gobject2" is not installed.
