Hi everyone,
I'm trying to replicate the same behaviour of International US keyboard on windows. In that kind of layout the compose key is always pressed. I explain: when I have to write, for example, "à", I have to press
`+a
Now I have set for Archlinux the option
setxkbmap -option compose:lwin
so to do the same thing I have to press [Left Windows Key] + ` + a.
How can replicate the above described behaviour?
Thanks

Did you choose a nodeadkeys layout? Cause if you don't the `a to à is standard behaviour. So just remove the nodeadkeys.
It's not related to the compose key. The compose key does all sorts of other combinations as well such as compose s s to ß. If it was pressed all the time, you could not type normal s anymore.

Thanks for this.
At the end I addedd an Input Layout from Gnome Region & Language Menu (Us International with dead keys) and it works like a charm.
Thanks for your hint.
