I wonder if we should point the devs to this poll? Seems to me that kernel26mm being in [extra] is a waste when archck is clearly more popular
Interesting to see how popular stock is too. Great for iphitus - archck, whether, self build or from [community] is very popular

I am into doing my own kernel with ck patchset. As of recent though I just upgarded my machine and must use 2.6.14-rc1 or higher for my nic to work.
Once 2.6.14 comes out officially I'll be back to the ck patchset and a few other patches I like to add in.

Why don't you use ck for 2.6.14-rc4?
Blaah, it got a bit OT ;-)

kernel 2.6.10-arch scsi here

I'm currently using kernel26-2.6.11.10-1 because memory sleep broke in the newer versions. I'm okay with waiting because I have to rely on the package system at the moment.
I'm terrible at compiling kernels. Terrible. ...

I guess im one of the few people that use kernel26mm.

I use stock (current) because I'm new to Linux, and the only thing that I can roll of my own are cigarettes and tacos.

archck custom built with modified PKGBUILD to include all kernel sources in /usr/src

I think I have re-opened the poll...

Hi
I am using kernel26archck [community] since the beggining of its release.
Great kernel with all the patches I need and ati drivers support (ati-drivers also form [community]) !!Great work dtw.
Your drivers working well? Dont freez on logout? There are about 10 peoples in the topic who doesnt.

I use archck with the dothan patch, and some other silly stuff I should really take out.
I use the ati-drivers as well, and I only had problems when using software suspend. Everything else for me was fine.
Offline
I'm using current, but only because I haven't had the time to build my own custom kernel

Using kernel26archck , very stable, but when have the time I will compile my own one, Like I did many times before

I use a custom built kernel based on the original kernel (abs baby!), for some reason that one (the default kernel) can sometimes be very instable when I'm using ndiswrapper. However not nearly as instable as the archchk kernel, I'm not sure why.

In this land of the pain the sane lose not knowing they were part of the game.

for me configuring the kernel to my need is a waste of time since the defaults work well. So i use the default

I'm using the default kernel26, I just can't be arsed to mess with experimental patchsets anymore.
Code should be free and hardware should be cheap.
