I set up a 5.1 card. CMI8738-MC8
I configured 5.1 sound with alsa in my home directory

(sound rate 120% with chipmunk sound)
I first tried to set rate 48000 -> 44100 with no effect, so i think it's due to a bad pitch ?

Are all sounds too fast or e.g. just flash?
What happens if you remove the .asoundrc?

it's a perfect 5.1 sound but just 20% too fast with all application (flash, sdl, urban terror game, mplayer, mpg123 etc ..) ... If i remove asound i switch to 2.1 sound (always 20% too fast); With vlc sounds squeaks
