When I run "optirun glxspheres" I get the following error:

There is no problem with optirun glxgears, firefox, blender, dolphin....?
Any thoughts?

glxspheres seems to be /usr/bin/glxspheres64 in the x86_64 virtualgl package nowadays, i.e. try "optirun glxspheres64".
