Thinkpad Trackpoint on external Bluetooth Keyboard

Hi,

I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. I just got a new Thinkpad Compact Bluetooth Keyboard

[ 899.576421] hid-generic 0005:17EF:6048.0001: input,hidraw0: BLUETOOTH HID v3.09 Keyboar
d [ThinkPad Compact Bluetooth Keyboard with TrackPoint] on 00:1f:e1:ea:d5:cf
[ 899.576247] input: ThinkPad Compact Bluetooth Keyboard with TrackPoint as /devices/pci0
000:00/0000:00:1a.0/usb3/3-1/3-1:1.0/bluetooth/hci0/hci0:11/input8

I could install it with this stub https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bluetooth_Keyboard .

Because I'm using a Thinkpad x61s I've already got these settings configuring the Trackpoint:

/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-thinkpad-trackpoint

Section "InputClass"
    Identifier "ThinkPad TrackPoint"
    MatchProduct "TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint"
    MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
    Option "EmulateWheel" "true"
    Option "EmulateWheelButton" "2"
    Option "XAxisMapping" "6 7"
    Option "YAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection

Unfortunately this does not affect the Trackpoint which is on the external Bluetooth Keyboard. It's quite working but the problem is the middle mouse button which does not really make it possible to scroll since it starts pasting the clipboard the moment I press it. This behaviour differs lots from the one of my internal x61s Keyboard with Trackpoint and middle mouse button where there's still the possibility to scroll.

I guess that the MatchProduct entry does not math the one of the external Keyboard. Is there any way to find the right name and kind of list all "Products" that are currently connected to the notebook?

Thanks for your help,

niklaas

Re: Thinkpad Trackpoint on external Bluetooth Keyboard

I have the USB Version of this Keyboard ((DE) (0B47202)), a "solution" is it to point with the trackpoint a little bit into one direction and then press the middle key - now you can scroll without pasting the clipboard.

A real fix would be great, probably with xmodmap there's a solution.

Re: Thinkpad Trackpoint on external Bluetooth Keyboard

Have you tried modifying MatchProduct with "ThinkPad Compact Bluetooth Keyboard with TrackPoint"?
