I'm trying to install the windows 7 fonts, and it was my understanding that i should copy the font files from my windows installation into the same directory as the PKGBUILD is, that i did and i get
ERROR arial.ttf was not found in the build directory and is not a URL.
But the file is right there next to PKGBUILD. Did i misunderstand something or am i doing this wrong?
As a side question, the Wiki says i can just symlink my windows fonts folder from my windows partition into /usr/share/fonts/, i tried this but when i did all the fonts i tried didn't seem to work at alll (which is why i figured i might be better off installing the AUR package), is there any way i can just use that method instead of the AUR package? if so how? what did i do wrong?

Have you read its PKGBUILD https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tt/t … s/PKGBUILD ?

Yes
# You need the files listed in the source=() array. Place them in the same directory as this PKGBUILD file, then run makepkg.

Post the directory listing as it seems to work here.
$ ls
PKGBUILD license.rtf src ttf-win7-fonts.install
$ makepkg -si
==> Making package: ttf-win7-fonts 7.1-8 (Thu Jan 23 02:37:47 CET 2014)
==> Checking runtime dependencies...
==> Checking buildtime dependencies...
==> Retrieving sources...
==> ERROR: arial.ttf was not found in the build directory and is not a URL.
$ touch arial.ttf
$ \ls
PKGBUILD arial.ttf license.rtf src ttf-win7-fonts.install
$ makepkg -si
==> Making package: ttf-win7-fonts 7.1-8 (Thu Jan 23 02:37:57 CET 2014)

-> Found arial.ttf
==> ERROR: arialbd.ttf was not found in the build directory and is not a URL.

Wut, it just all of a sudden worked. I have no idea what could've gone wrong the first time.
I have no idea why it didn't work the first time, but i did restart inbetween. Thanks anyways
