[SOLVED]device PPARTUUID=... not found

Hi

I reinstalled the Arch using iso image from usb stick. After installing the gummiboot I had this problem stuck. So I tried different bootloader - rEFInd. After rebooting I get the standard promt. Choosing "Boot vmlinuz-linux from 510 MiB FAT volume" - the big sitting penguin icon take me to the screen:

:: running early hook [udev]
:: running hook [udev]
:: Triggering uevents...
Waiting 10 seconds for device /dev/disk/by-partuuid/a9c4234c-c661-4bf9-a37e-17065c7beca5 ...
ERROR: device 'PARTUUID=a9c4234c-c661-4bf9-a37e-17065c7beca5' not found. Skipping fsck.
ERROR: Unable to find root device 'PARTUUID=a9c4234c-c661-4bf9-a37e-17065c7beca5'.
You are being dropped to a recovery shell
...

I copied that number from the fstab to the /boot/EFI/refind/refind.conf and the refind.conf file looks like this:

"Boot with defaults" "root=PARTUUID=a9c4234c-c661-4bf9-a37e-17065c7beca5 rw rootfstype=ext4 add_efi_memmap systemd.unit=graphical.target"
"Boot to Terminal"   "root=PARTUUID=a9c4234c-c661-4bf9-a37e-17065c7beca5 rw rootfstype=ext4 add_efi_memmap systemd.unit=multi-user.target"

There is also some thing strange happening - after booting from the usb stick some times the usb is in /dev/sda and some times it in /dev/sdb.
So in the first time I mount the /dev/sdbX as my root partition. But after rebooting if the usb is /dev/sdb so I mount the /dev/sdaX as my root.
Also I have UEFI motherboard.
I think that maybe in both bootloaders there was the same problem, the PARTUUID number.

Thank god to this thread Fresh ...

Use `blkid` to get the UUID of the drive and add it to your fstab when you remove the duplicate. Reboot and profit.

it solved it - I got my Arch back ... smile.

You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen.
Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet, still and solitary.
The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.
