First of all, it was working perfectly till few updates ago.
Here's what's happening now.
I use amarok and i have an external usb audio card.
When i plug the usb card to the laptop, i start to hear music coming from the external device.
Ok, perfect.
After, more or less, 1 minute, i start to hear big hisses and scratches mixed with the audio. There's something wrong going on with the audio from kde.
(it's not a problem of the external device)
if i look on /var/log/everything.log i always see these lines:
Jan 26 11:34:12 localhost kernel: [ 1221.804246] 5:1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1
Jan 26 11:34:12 localhost kernel: [ 1221.817583] 5:2:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x82
Jan 26 11:34:12 localhost kernel: [ 1221.830058] 5:1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1
Jan 26 11:34:12 localhost kernel: [ 1221.843079] 5:2:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x82
Jan 26 11:34:12 localhost kernel: [ 1222.350062] 5:1:2: cannot get freq at ep 0x1sometimes these lines are shorter
Jan 26 11:29:13 localhost kernel: [ 922.766494] 2:2:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x82
Jan 26 11:29:13 localhost kernel: [ 922.780493] 2:2:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x82etc etc..
I'm using gstreamer as backend of phonon. any ideas?
Notice: this problem does not occour while using JACK.
But, if first i open amarok, i plug the usb device, then close amarok and then use JACK, the problem happens.
So, it's surely correlated with phonon.
any ideas?
Thanks in advance

edit:
i close Skype (that was idle on the systray); exit/re-enter in kde. The problem seems solved.
Moreover, that lines no more appear on the log.
I think there's a bug on skype and on kde's phonon system.
Actually this is a bit frustrating because i can't use skype while listening music on external device.
I don't think that the problem is solved, actually is just a workaround...
