trying to install arch linux 2014.01.05 dual iso but when I boot the live cd my keyboard and mouse (both wired) arent detected.
please help

ps2/usb or combination with adapter? Can you borrow someone's keyboard? Can't really do any troubleshooting without one lol or run down to the store and grab a cheapo one.

this is a usb keyboard - this computer doesn't have a spot for a ps2 keyboard (which has been what has always worked n the past)
unfortunately ps2 keyboards are also very hard tofind these days. does arch live cd normally work with USB keyboards ???

Yes, usb keyboards are preferred normally. I'm not recommending ps2. Do you have another usb keyboard lying around or have you tried in all the usb ports?

tried all 3 usb keyboards in all 4 usb ports with the arch linux cd booted and non were detected. botted back into manjaro and all usb keyboards were detected again?
going to try making another arch live cd any other suggestions appreciated. thanks for the help so far

Besides a reboot, can you shut down and boot to see if it detects? Good luck.

rebooted cannot select anything with any of my usb keyboards dont have ps2. arch linux pixie failed.
installing arch 2014-01-05 on laptop maybe I can use recopnstructor to package my OS with keyboard and mouse and video drivers etc so it will install all the programs I install on the laptop onto the desktop?

I am from australia > melbourne victoria and usually type in english us or english australian (which keymap do I use in the arch linux install process?) arch linux still does not detect my kb and mouse when on desktop (usb keyboard)...stumped.
