Some pointers will be helpful

I don't see any errors. What is your question? What is the issue you are trying to resolve? What documentation are you following, and where are you getting stuck in it?

^^ Sorry for not being very clear - but the issue is catalyst needs X v1.14 while I am not able to downgrade since I have v1.15.
The warning above won't let me install an older version of X which I direly need for catalyst compatibility!
[shashwat@arch ~]$ X -version

to make sure that you have the latest version.
[shashwat@arch ~]$
As for the wiki I am using official arch book on catalyst installation and downgrading!

pacman -Suu

pacman -Suu
Thanks - that seems to have fixed the warning issue, however I ran into a new problem , xorg-server and glamor -egl are in conflict! I can't remove either of them which eventually result in dead system or no catalyst!
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
:: xorg-server and glamor-egl are in conflict. Remove glamor-egl? [y/N] y
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: xf86-video-ati: requires glamor-egl
[shashwat@arch ~]$
Edit- My repos are up to date! Just did a -Syy

Do downgrade that manually, then ask the maintainer of the repo you're using to include it as well.

^^ Downgrade X (xorg-server, utils and server-utils package) or glamor-egl?
Will get in touch with the maintainer for sure
Edit - Also I dont think there is any guarantee that glamor won't conflict with manually compiled xorg?
How do I get pass the situation?

Hi I you want install catalyst you don't need glamor-egl so... Like the wiki about catalyst say you can remove it to can downgrade your xserver, to remove without warnings (you can read the wiki to be sure) pacman -Rdd pkgname is enough but you need install all packages for catalyst to satisfy all libgl stuffs before reboot or logout your X session . take your time to read the wiki and good job

I guess you'll have to explicitely install the old xorg packages (pacman -S xorg-server glamor-egl ... )
The xorg114 repository from wirephire contains the right versions of glamor-egl and xorg.
