Hi All,
I'm fond of gmusicbrowser but I can't get a simple play/pause shortcut key to work. By default the spacebar simply starts the same song over again (I personally don't have much use for that feature). In the settings dialog there is a tab for keys so in the command drop down box I select "play/pause", I then click in the command column and press the space bar, "space" shows up in the command column. I then click the "add shortcut key" button and my shortcut shows up in the main box and it looks like everything is wonderful. And........... it doesn't work. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks

Howdy Howdystranger,
I never did find a workable solution. There's a way to set global shortcuts but using the spacebar messes up all sorts of other things. It's a shame when things get IMPROVED and they don't work for you anymore. In the good ol' days the spacebar was pause/play whether it was a music player, a video editor or a music editor. I teach piano and my computer keyboard sits on the electronic piano, I often have to reach over a student's shoulder to press the pause controls and ctrl + spacebar doesn't work for me. Right now I'm using audacious but I'll be looking into the mpd frontends soon because I do like the artist, album, track layout.
Cheers
