I have a problem with subwoofer in laptop (Samsung np550-p5c). To make it work each time laptop plays sound I have to mute and unmute all channels or only Bass Speaker channel in alsamixer on card Intel PantherPoint HDMI.
When I listen to music (after muting and unmuting), all other applications are using subwoofer, but when no sound is being played and then I play something, it is being played without use of subwoofer. Muting and unmuting makes it work.
Disabling Auto-Mute Mode in alsamixer doesn't help.
My pulseaudio configuration files:
/etc/pulse/client.conf
/etc/pulse/daemon.conf
resample-method=speex-float-10
enable-lfe-remixing = yes
flat-volumes = no
default-fragments = 8
default-fragment-size-msec = 10
deferred-volume-safety-margin-usec = 1

Bump.
Fun fact: it works fine on Ubuntu...
