I am using a laptop computer, and would like to see the netgear wireless card doing it's job. Unfortunately, I was only successfull reching the goal using lindows  and knoppix / gnoppix, because the three ones use some magic scripts and packages to fill the holes.
Online howto's seem to be outdated, they refer to older kernels, where you had to patch drivers into etc.
If anyone ever treated his config the right way, and had connect with his wireless card to whatever network, feel free to post a little howto.

Is this wireless card a pcmcia card and supported by wlan-ng? Or is it something else?

As far as I could see, it is supported by linux-wlan-ng (prism2).

Install the wlan-ng package and configure it.
