pacman: update packages from a specific repo [solved]

Hi there,

I want to update my core packages only at this specific moment.
Is there a way to do that ? Do upgrade packages only from a specific repository via cli ?
Through the manual page of pacman, didnt find something useful.

The work around is to comment out the repos from pacman.conf but i was wonder if there is a command line alternative workaround.

Why do you want to do it? Partial upgrades are not supported.

No - there is a very long standing bug report requesting this, but it has been largely ignored.

Can you please link to it? I know I've seen it somewhere. nwm, found it.

@ebal
You can use a different config file with only specific repos enabled - this way you can use an alias or otherwise work from the commandline.
