Synclient circle scroll to change virtual desktops

Hello,

I've just gotten started tweaking my laptop's touchpad.  I like the circle scroll option in synclient, but would like to be able to use it to change virtual desktops.  Can I do this?  I've tried Touchegg, but it doesn't work on my computer.

Thanks,

Wesley.

Re: Synclient circle scroll to change virtual desktops

Well, the OS see the circular scrolling as a 'standard' scrolling and usually if you scroll on the dock/application panel you switch to another virtual desktop (KDE, fluxbox...)
So, the answer is yes, but you have to move your mouse upon the application panel, then use the scrolling

Re: Synclient circle scroll to change virtual desktops

As I understand it, the OS  sees circle scrolling as regular scrolling because synclient tells it that that's what's happening.

If that is the case, then it seem to me that it should be possible to make a patch for synclient that would send a different signal on circular scrolling.  Is that the case?

Thanks,
Wesley
