Hi, ARCH-ers!
I've got a strange problem here. Recently I had installed ARCH on my new laptop and I've noticed that screensaver is... white... I've glanced at xset options but found nothing about screensaver AND changing its color.
What do you think is wrong in here?

Have you tried using a desktop background setter like nitrogen or feh?

I think that nitrogen should work just fine, but I want to stay as simple as possible with my system so I'd like to fix what is broken rather than make a pile of programs bigger.

Do you perhaps have xscreensaver installed?
If so check: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Di … leshooting
As xset DPMS settings do not work with xscreensaver.
What if you turned off blanking?
xset s off
I myself am still quite new here, so I'm not sure if my suggestions are helping, but at least I'm trying ![]()

(Un)fortunatelly I haven't installed xscreensaver.
@xset s off - this is opposite to my intentions for what I want to do ^^ I want to have working blanking, but I must admit that no screensaver is still better than white screensaver ^^
Thanks for support anyway, brainstoriming is always great ;]

What desktop environment or window manager are you using. Some DE's come with their own screensaver so you might need to check your screensaver settings in you DE (if you use one).

@up, no, I don't use any DE, just simple ratpoison WM.
