Asunder freezes while encoding

I just recently started having trouble using Asunder to rip and MP3-encode CDs.
It rips the CD fine to .wav-files but then it hangs during encoding to the point where I have to perform a 'kill -9 $PID' to shut it down because it is completely unresponsive and frozen.
It does this with every CD I've tried tonight and I never had a problem before. I've been using Asunder for a long time without issues.

Is anybody else having this issue? How do I troubleshoot this? I don't even know where to begin.

Yes. Not sure when this went south, but several weeks ago I struggled with it for a while before giving up.

I use abcde now, and it works brilliantly.

Hmm really late reply by me but I reported the bugs to the developer and he fixed them in version 2.5.1
