[solved] Epson perfection 2480 photo

I can't use the scanner in object.

sane-find-scanner says

found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x0121 [EPSON Scanner]) at libusb:001:007

but xsane says that he can't find any scanner. (also as root I have the same problem)

Any help?

don't have a scanner, nor do I know xsane. Only thing I can tell from their homepage is that your scanner is supported by sane, and so should be by xsane as this is just a frontend.

Thanks for the help, but...
the scanner ran correctly under Ubuntu breezy.
And i tryed also to install the iscan driver with no result. I do really don't know where to search!   :?

I had to install the right backend! 
Now it works! 8)
I simply thought that it wasn't necessary... Next time I will read with more attention the
