Mouse wheel often scrolls backwards when scrolling

Per the subject; when scrolling in a single direction, up to every-other "tick" on the scroll wheel actually scrolls in reverse.  This means that often when scrolling I make no progress at all; the page or window just "jumps" or "twitches" around the point I'm already at.

I've tried adjusting usbhid's mousepoll both up and down to no avail.

EDIT: The mouse is a Corsair LM2.  I use Gnome 3, and this happens in all applications.  This does not happen in Windows on the same machine.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Mouse wheel often scrolls backwards when scrolling

From what I know, you can program raptor mice using Windows software. Maybe tweak it in Windows and see if it performs better on Linux?
