KDE4 with OpenBox?

Hello, I'm trying to use Openbox as my window manager under KDE4. It was working pretty good at first but it would just stop working, and my mouse buttons wouldn't work. The only thing that works is the power button (which I use to log out). I use exec openbox-kde-session to start my session. Thanks, I don't even know where to start debugging this because my terminal doesn't work during the problem. Only thing I tried was reinstalling openbox and obconf.

Re: KDE4 with OpenBox?

You could disable the Login Manager / Auto start of X so you get dropped straight into a terminal when you boot the Arch system and then start looking into trouble shooting / looking at logs.

Re: KDE4 with OpenBox?

I do shoot straight into terminal when I boot into the system. But, I'm not sure one how I could log the system without startx-ing and effectively freezing my system.

Re: KDE4 with OpenBox?

Surely you can look at previous logs if you can drop into a terminal before starting X? Can you change TTYs or use the magic buttons?
