Hi All,
I have Arch running very very well on my MacBook Pro and have had no real issues. I installed the b43 firmware from the AUR and the WiFI has been working great, I however bought a bluetooth mouse to make working on the laptop easier. I installed both bluez and bluez-utils using pacman. I then issued the following commands:
sudo systemctl start bluetooth
sudo systemctl enable bluetooth
I connect the bluetooth mouse inside gnome and all was working well until i tried to use the web browser my WiFi card shows as still being connected however the connection is dead.

Hi Guys,
Can anyone possibly help me with this? If you need any moreinfo i am happy to provide.
I am not sure if the WiFi card and the Bluetooth share the same board and whether the firmware i downloaded b43 is correct it could be that but would like someone else to have a look over to make sure i am not missing something else.
Many Thanks

I recommend you start by reading the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wi … figuration

I have read that bluetooth actually runs within the same bandwidth space as the 2.4GHz wifi. So beacuse of this, it is necessary to have some kine of bluetooth compatibility/coexistence setup with the HW drivers. This effectively makes it so that it can switch back and forth quickly between the devices... hopefully in an unnoticeable way.
I have a Broadcom BCM43228 wireless card with BT 4.0. It works great, but I never use the bluetooth on it. I have a friend who has the same wifi card (and machine actually) who does in fact use the bluetooth and he has all kinds of issues with it. So much so that he ended up switching back to the Intel 2230 that came with the machine. I do have another machine with an Intel 6235 that uses both the wifi and BT, and it seems to work fantastically, but I think this is because the Intel iwlwifi just does a good job handling the situation.

@Neburski the Wiki was great for setting up the Wifi and getting the firmware installed however it does not cover this situation which is why i have gone out for help on here to see if anyone has had a similar problem and managed to fix it.

That might be true, but the wiki also has good information to start troubleshooting. Your first posts clearly indicate that you aren't capable of providing meaningful information, whereas the wiki actually shows you how to provide meaningful information. The wiki also points in so many different directions to help with troubleshooting, combine that with some googling and you might actually start understanding the issue. Simultaneously you can keep coming back to this thread to update it with new information which potentially gives your issue more visibility. People here are usually also more helpful if you provide meaningful information instead of having them constantly asking you for needed information. So start by reading the wiki.
