Blam - cannot get it working

Somehow I cannot get `blam` to work. Is this my fault, or are other users experiencing this as well?

Unhandled Exception: System.DllNotFoundException: libblam.so
in (wrapper managed-to-native) Imendio.Blam.MessageConnection:bacon_message_connection_new (string)

The blam package doesn't work with firefox 1.5. Something about nsCOMPtr. You can try using blam from cvs. Follow the directions here. Post #5.
