I plan on swapping to the original kernel, but also wanted to remove any unneeded packages from my OVH install. Would someone please help me get it to minimal like it would be installed from scratch? I'm very new to Arch and picked up a D425 Kimsufi to use as a remote desktop for my work.
Here's the default installed packages:

You can remove everything apart from the base group packages: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pa … base_group
Packages like dmidecode are useful, but not crucial, so you can remove them if you want to be really minimal.
If you're not suing reiser filesystem, you can remove reiserfsprogs.

What do you use intel-ucode for?
If you need irqbalance and friends, you should keep them or reinstall after the initial cleanup.
pcmciautils is in the base group, but you can remove it if you don't need it.

OVH just installs a bunch of stuff on their default install. I honestly don't know if I need them or not. I don't believe I do.

Not an Installation issue, moving to NC...
