[SOLVED] Sleep/reboot cycle after upgrading to kernel 3.13.4

So after I updated to the latest kernel today it seems like arch is going into some kind of sleep mode right after boot.  I see the log in screen, no login manager I just use xinitrc, then the screen goes off as if it went to sleep, then shortly after it reboots, rinse and repeat.  Every once in a while I get it to stay on for a bit but then it will sleep right in the middle of me working and I can't wake it.  Any ideas?

Update- I also noticed during this I have no usb keyboard, tried to turn on caps lock to see if it would light up and no response.

For the keyboard, read the front page

For the main problem, what are you using for graphics? I'm wondering if you have the same issue as https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/38980

Re: [SOLVED] Sleep/reboot cycle after upgrading to kernel 3.13.4

Ah that sounds about right and I have an AMD A10-5800k processor.  I just disabled my core C6 state in the BIOS and managed to log into my system.  I don't know if this is one of those times where it is working or if I actually fixed something.  I was on playing Flightgear for about 2 hours earlier with no issues, as soon as I exited Flightgear, it went back into the loop.

Update - So I did another restart and everything is still good.  It is possible the C6 state set in the BIOS was powering down the GPU as well as the cores as needed.  It is possible the new kernel thought "as needed" was always.  I will check this over the next day or so and if all is still good I will mark solved.
