Plymouth splash system won't work

I followed wiki to install plymouth-git on a dm-encrypted drive. I added relevant entries into /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and recreated initramfs.

However, when system boots the screen goes black (no background image) and there is just the plain text password prompt in the middle.
It does not react to typing in the password, apart from the fact that the blinking cursor stops blinking while typing.

What do you think?

Moving to AUR issues...

The wiki page describes exactly your situation: I think  you haven't read it properly.

I think I did. If you are referring to plymouth-encrypt hook, I did that.
If you meant something else, please point it out, because I see nothing else there.
