Send a message to the AUR mailinglist to have the package orphaned.  Then you (or anyone else) can adopt it and patch it up.

Also check out the wiki as this type of concern is described there already.

You can apply for maintainership if you want or post a working PKGBUILD in the comments https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/oce/
Is https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/oce-git/ working?
